Attorney Alex Shulman founded Shulman & Hill in 2013. In the firm’s young history, he and partner J.J. Hill have grown the practice to include more than 20 lawyers across 7 locations. We are just across the road from Battery Park, close to a commercial center with shops and restaurants. We are very close to public transit, including several subway lines and bus stops.

Getting to Our Manhattan Law Office By Public Transit
Several subway stations are near our building, including South Ferry (Line 1) and Whitehall St-South Ferry (Lines N, R, W). Buses also come to the area, specifically to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal station. The South St and Whitehall St bus stops are also about a block away.
If you are using an Uber or taxi to come to see us, they should drop you off on the State Street side of the building.
Driving Directions to Our NYC Law Office
It is easy to access our NYC law office by car. State Pearl Garage and Icon Parking are both within one block of our building: State Pearl is one block north of our office, and Icon Parking is southeast of our office.
As our office is close to the water, you’ll likely be driving to our office from either the North or the East. You can take the ferry from the South to find us.
To get to our office from the North:
- Head southwest on Broadway to Exchange Alley
- Continue onto State Street

To get to our office from the East:
- Head southwest on South St toward John St
- South St turns right and becomes Whitehall St
- Turn left onto State St/ State Street Plaza
- Continue to follow State Street
