Omar Russo brings experience and dedication to his practice as a civil rights attorney. He is a trusted advocate in the legal community with a client-centered approach. Mr. Russo ensures that his clients are represented tirelessly, and that during the course of their litigation they know it.
Mr. Russo graduated from Touro Law having participated in various public service initiatives and clinics. Among them, the Senior’s Law Program and Trans Rights Clinics. He served as a student board member on bar associations and maintained roles in on-campus law societies, including the Black Law Students Association. After law school he served a term as a Judicial Law Clerk, and thereafter defended the City of New York in hundreds of civil actions.
Mr. Russo has a vast knowledge of civil litigation broadly, municipal law, and experience litigating complex civil matters. His ability to navigate the intricacies of the legal system, and to advocate for and communicate with his clients produces notable results. Deciding to leverage his experience to pursue plaintiff’s work, Mr. Russo now champions the rights of individuals whose rights have been violated by law enforcement.
