Joel-George Mays

Joel Mays is an Associate Attorney at Shulman & Hill where he specializes in Workers’ Compensation litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Joel worked at Housing Action Council, Inc. where he drafted and filed condominium offering plans and cooperative policy statements with the New York State Office of the Attorney General. He also provided corporate governance oversight to several not-for-profit organizations and advised on affordable housing development policy, strategy, and financing. Originally from Miami, Florida, Joel earned his Juris Doctor from Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law in 2021, where he was a member of the National Black Law Students Association’s Mock Trial Team.
