José David Mendez

José “Jay” David Mendez, a Bronx native, recently joined the firm as an associate in their Workers’ Comp department. Before joining the firm, Mr. Mendez worked as a litigator at a No-Fault collection firm, advocating for providers to receive their rightful payment for medical services rendered to individuals in automobile accidents. Mr. Mendez is admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bar. He graduated from John Jay Criminal Justice with a B.A. in Forensic Psychology. He obtained his J.D. from CUNY School of Law, where he studied as an evening student while working full-time as a Clinical Quality Manager at Healthfirst. Mr. Mendez participated in his school’s mediation clinic and is also a member of the Mental Health Committee of the NYC Bar Association. Mr. Mendez has always valued work where he can help improve the outcomes of people’s lives. He believes Shulman-Hill will provide that opportunity to further his goals of improving individuals’ lives.
