A Long Island native, Mr. Russo graduated from Touro Law, where he was actively involved in public service initiatives and clinics, including the Senior’s Law Program and Trans Rights Clinics. He served as a student board member on bar associations and played key roles in on-campus law societies, such as the Black Law Students Association. After law school, he served a term as a Judicial Law Clerk before going on to defend the City of New York in hundreds of civil actions.
Reflecting on his background, Mr. Russo notes, “I served as a judicial law clerk and worked for the City of New York prior to joining Shulman & Hill. While at the City, I defended similar actions to those I now bring on behalf of clients—cases stemming from civil rights violations by law enforcement officers. That experience allows me to navigate this niche field with an understanding of best practices to ensure client success and maximize results.”
