Rachel Black is a highly focused and passionate attorney with over a decade of experience trying cases to verdict and litigating complex matters. She has successfully advocated on behalf of thousands of clients, often achieving previously unattainable resolutions. Detail-oriented and unrelenting, Ms. Black works tirelessly to ensure her clients have every avenue of offense and defense available to them. She received her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she completed the Human Rights & Genocide Clinic and the Criminal Defense Clinic. Ms. Black had the opportunity to be a public defender in New York City before joining the Special Investigations Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, investigating and prosecuting allegations of police misconduct. She has trained lawyers on cross-examination, investigation, and challenging forensic evidence. Ms. Black is admitted to practice in the Southern District of New York, New York State, and the state of Pennsylvania.
