People in Queens are hurt every day by others’ negligent actions. Auto Accidents

No-fault insurance rules apply in New York, so you turn to your insurance first after a car accident. However, some accidents cause serious injuries and emotional harm, with financial costs and other damages that surpass insurance limits. In others, insurance companies try to blame victims for their injuries or take advantage of their financial needs by offering them low settlements. Our Queens car accident attorneys fight against attempts to give our clients anything less than what they deserve.

Workers' Compensation

Our Queens workers’ compensation lawyers will review your case details and negotiate a settlement that addresses your injuries and ability to work. Damages Available After an Accident

Accident victims can recover damages for their economic and non-economic harm in cases where another person’s negligence caused their injuries. Depending on your case’s circumstances, damages you may recover include:

  • Current and future medical and rehabilitation costs
  • Lost wages and future earning potential
  • Property damage
  • Costs related to upgrading your vehicle or home to accommodate your injuries
  • Home nursing or other care
  • Pain and suffering
  • Emotional distress
  • Loss of enjoyment of life
  • Funeral and burial costs in a wrongful death lawsuit

Our skilled Queens personal injury lawyers also have significant experience in workers’ compensation and Social Security disability claims. If you were injured at work, we can help you through the claims process and investigate and litigate any potential personal injury lawsuits against the third parties responsible.

In terms of recouping benefits in a personal injury case, there are a number of factors that go into determining the success or the payout. In a personal injury case, there's liability. So hypothetically, if you're involved in a car accident, it's going to be based off of who is responsible for the accident. Then there's damages, which are the second component—what are the extent of your injuries? Obviously, a sprained ankle is a lot different than a fractured elbow, and surgery will obviously go a long way. So the damages are going to dictate a lot of the value of the case. And then the third and final component is policy. You can have a significant injury, but if that policy is only $25,000, for example, that's the most money you might be entitled to. So it's very important to have all three components in a personal injury case.
